Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book a table?

You can book a table here on the website in the restaurant section.  If you are planning a weekend visit, we do recommend booking in advance. As a general rule, once we are fully booked we have little capacity to accept walk ins during busy periods. We highly recommend making a reservation prior to your visit. The biggest table we have seats 8 people, this includes all guests seated on a chair or highchair. We reserve the right to refuse bookings who arrive exceeding the number of guests in the original booking.

Can I book a table for a large group?

No. Our biggest table seats 8 guests maximum which includes all seated guests whether on a chair or highchair, we do not accept bigger bookings. If you have infants/small children outside of this number they can only be accommodated on laps. Please DO NOT book multiple tables, we do not accept multiple table bookings. See private hire below for large party options.

How do I book a supper club or event?

Head to our Supper Club & Events page to see what’s on and what’s available.  If everything is fully booked, get in touch and we will let you know if availability comes up. We send out a regular newsletter with all upcoming events, sign up to keep up to date.

Can I book a table outside?

No, we only offer inside table bookings.  If the weather is good and there is availability you will be offered an outside table on arrival.

Can I bring my dog?

Well behaved dogs are welcome at Castle Farm with the exception of our Saturday night supper clubs. We politely remind guests that we need space to serve and clear tables safely and we request guests do not bring multiple dogs to the restaurant that we do not have room to accommodate. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times and are not permitted in the gardens.

Can I bring my children?

Yes, children are very welcome. We don’t have a separate children’s menu but are always happy to make half portions, and there is a children’s roast available on Sundays. We politely remind guests that all children requiring a seat or highchair must be booked within the total table numbers or there will not be seats available for them on arrival. We recommend booking for young children who need highchairs as space is at a premium and in order to safely serve and clear we cannot accommodate multiple prams around tables. Our Saturday supper clubs are for adults only, older budding foodie teens might enjoy.

Can I bring my own drinks?

No, we don’t offer bring your own.  We are fully licenced with a well-stocked bar full of local beers, ciders, and wines, and we love making cocktails!

Do you accommodate dietary requirements?

We always have dietary options on our menu and are happy to make adjustments where possible.  If you have severe allergies, please let us know in advance. If you are booking a supper club please fill in the form during checkout, stating clearly the dietary requirement and/or allergy and how many people in the group it applies to. If this is not done prior to the event we cannot guarantee an alternative will be available. We cannot accommodate diets such as Keto and fodmap, unfortunately in our small team creating alternative menus for such restricted diets is too challenging.

Can we bring a cake?

If you are celebrating an occasion we are happy to bake a cake for you with plenty of notice, get in touch and we can discuss options. We are unable to store and serve cakes you bring yourselves but have a lovely cake and dessert menu available, and are happy to put a candle in a dessert for you if you let us know in advance. If guests bring a cake without contacting us first, please be aware a cakeage charge will be applied to the bill.

Can I get a refund?

Our supper clubs are booked and paid in advance.  These are non-refundable.  In the event that you are unable to attend, with one week’s notice, we will move your booking to the next available supper club within 1 month of your original booking. We offer one change of booking date, if this is cancelled again the booking will be lost. Please check you and your guests can make it before booking. We always do our best to be flexible where it doesn’t negatively impact the business.

Can I buy a gift voucher?

Yes, either purchase through the website or pop in to buy vouchers. Our vouchers are valid for one year and will not be accepted once expired, we can get booked up some weeks in advance and recommend taking this into account. We do accept vouchers as payment for supper clubs and takeaways but they are not currently redeemable on our website, please email us directly to use your voucher for these and we will take the booking/order manually.
