Is there a more hopeful month than May? Beyond the indecisive weather of April, the return of acid green leaves to the trees and the countryside fully awakening again makes everything feel full of promise. The Castle Farm gardens are no exception, after a long, sleepy Winter and a busy planting season we begin to reap the benefits with Spring veg and plenty to forage from the land…there will be wild garlic in abundance! We’ve have tidied up one of our little sheds on the terrace and will be adding organic produce throughout the season for you to shop and take home. The new extended opening hours during the week have been wonderful, a little more relaxed than the busy weekends and time to chat with guests, old and new!

So, in comes May with not only FIVE full weekends but TWO bank holidays, bit of a show off but we like it! We will be serving up all the usual brunches, lunches, curries, roasts with the added bonus of two days of Monday roasts to make the most of both bank holidays, an art inspired Mexican supper club to celebrate the simple joys of good food and good company and an exciting reboot to the supper club box for our stay home crew!

A reminder that we open our diary 60 days in advance and Sundays do get booked up very quickly. We have a standby list in our online diary so recommend adding your details there and we will let you know if anything becomes available. Saturday Night Curry

Traditionally Friday night has been curry night at the farm with a menu of Malaysian and South Indian dishes featuring our own garden organics and produce from the best local suppliers. Regularly booked up, we are extending opening to occasional Saturdays each month so no one has to miss out, this month you can book for the following date:

Malaysian Brunch

Brunch, but not as you know it! Our delicious Malaysian twist on brunching, a menu packed with colourful and flavoursome dishes for a meal you’ll remember. Early booking is recommended, those Roti Pisang are in high demand!

Monday Roast

Make the most of the double bank holidays this month with Monday roasts on both, with those who can’t always join us on a Sunday in mind. This month you can join us on the following dates:

Saturday Supper Box - April

The at home dining options have remained as popular as ever, so we are reimagining the supper club boxes to make them as fun and immersive as they were back in the days we, erm, shall not name…! We will be cooking up monthly menus in a series inspired by the many destinations along the ancient silk road. Included with each delicious menu will be a little information about the place, it’s history, flavour and myths, a playlist and some recommended films and shows so you can have a fully immersive evening. We begin this culinary adventure in Xi’an, China, we hope you’ll join us for a foodie pilgrimage!

In addition to the busy weekends in the barn guests are now able to dine with us during the week once again. Head down and enjoy the new menu, no bookings, just come on over!

At Home

Our Friday night takeaways have long been a popular addition to the Castle Farm dining options and will remain as a hot takeaway pickup on Friday evenings. We are aware that lots of guests would love to order but the collection day and time can be restrictive, to remedy this we are working on an option to offer curries and rice to be collected cold across the whole weekend. While we can’t offer the full takeaway menu with side dishes and breads we hope this will be a useful option for our guests to pick up and pop in the fridge and eat at their leisure, one less meal to think about!

We are working on the finer details and adding the option to our website but will send out a dedicated newsletter when this option becomes available.

Stay on the Farm - Nearly there!

We have been very quiet on this front working like mad behind the scenes to get everything finished and bookings open, which will we within the next week, available from mid April! We have lots to do so haven’t spent much time updating on Instagram but will be adding some sneak peeks over the next few days as we prepare to launch this very exciting addition to the farm.
